A chance for junior players to make huge improvements to their match play in 4 weeks.
For a few years now we have been travelling to France with a group of juniors from the Waikato region. In 2016 we are opening this trip up to players from other regions.
We know that more match play can massively improve the ability of players. It’s unfortunate that in New Zealand our junior players do not get the opportunity to have as much match play as players in other parts of the world. This trip offers that opportunity.
Players will play at around 10 tournaments in the Bordeaux region in four weeks. Players in 2015 played up to 28 matches each, for a total of 161 matches for the group at 13 different venues.
Players will compete with other players of similar level (regardless of age) because of the French ranking system. This competition with senior players also helps to improve intelligence of play.
DATES FOR 2016
23 June to 23 July 2016.
